We offer custom from-scratch webdesign and development, as well as template based modules and designs, which can be customised to suit your requirements.
Graphic art and design
We create business cards, flyers, interior design plans, ads, banners, posters, logos, letterheads, characters, cartoons, and other designs, either completely custom, from our templates or built upon the designs you already have.
Marketing, copywriting and getting noticed
We offer marketing services and advice, primarily in the areas of online marketing and marketing materials. We also offer appraisals for websites and other materials.

Travel of more than 20km outside Palmerston North is charged at $0.60/km, we're happy to meet you halfway in most cases. Additional costs are uncommon, and if they come up we'll discuss them with you ahead of time.
Templates
We offer a range of graphics based templates, from websites through to stationary. These represent a cost effective and quick alternative to completely custom work and all our templates can be customised in terms of colour schemes and logos and usually layout.

Package deals
In some situations clients require more than one service, and we are happy to discuss discounts on this basis. We also offer a number of premade packages that utilise our templates. We also offer some services free to schools, clubs and charitable groups, with a complete package free to a selected non profit group every few months.

How we go about it
Most of our work requires multiple progress checks to make sure we're on the right track. You can expect an initial consult (free), where we sit down and work out what your needs are and discuss options. From there we outline a rough draft of what we can offer, and when you're satisfied, we start work. A progress check is when we'll ask you to sign off on a design and point out any changes you'd like. Before printing or release, we'll ask you to sign off on a final draft to make sure everything is how you want it. Sometimes there may be a wait if we have a number of projects on, but we do take on rush jobs if neccessary.
Quotes and payments
Our quotes are estimates except in the case of templates and package deals, usually we will set a price cap, and not go over it unless the requirements change, however if the project takes less time than expected, you won't be charged the full amount. We ask for a deposit of half the estimated price before work begins (after a rough draft has been signed off), and the other half two weeks after completion. We accept internet banking, cheques and direct deposits. We have other payment options, but these need to be discussed beforehand.
Legal stuff
All work is surrendered on the basis of a single license. The work may be used and edited for the purpose originally created (e.g marketing), however additional rights (such as franchising, additional licenses or royalties) are reserved by the creator unless specifically stated otherwise, the individual license may be sold by the client, however they must discontinue use of the work upon the sale and notify the creator (Genkii Design Solutions) of the sale and the new buyer will also be bound by these terms. For example, if we made a design for your website, you could alter that design as much as you liked, but you'd have to maintain that the original design was our work, and you couldn't duplicate the design for another website without our permission, you also couldn't sell the design to somebody else and then keep using it yourself. If we made a logo for you, you could print it on anything you liked, so long as you didn't sell it to somebody else and keep using it yourself. We don't have a problem with most uses for work, but if it falls outside the scope of normal use, then you'll need to talk to us about it.
